About these guides
My psychological guides draw primarily on schema therapy according to Jeffrey Young.
Schema therapy addresses deeply rooted patterns that often formed early in life. These include basic beliefs about ourselves and others, typical emotional reactions, and strategies we use to avoid, control, or endure difficult feelings.
I also draw on other psychological models and research when they are helpful for a given topic. These may include personality psychology, motivation psychology, attachment research, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other scientifically grounded approaches.
The guides should stay short, understandable, and practical. You should be able to quickly recognize:
- What might be happening here?
- What of this applies to me?
- What can I concretely do next?
- Where are the limits of self-coaching?
I am a psychological coach, not a psychotherapist, and I do not offer psychotherapy. The guides are psychological education and guidance for self-coaching. They do not provide a diagnosis and do not replace medical, psychiatric, or psychotherapeutic treatment.
